Torngat Mountains

Open year round

Eternal Snow

The village of Kangiqsualujjuaq is the host of the impressive Torngat Mountains, which stretch over 300 kilometres. These mountains run along the border between Quebec and Labrador. More precisely, they are located between the Ungava Bay and the Labrador Sea.

The mont d'Iberville is the highest peak of this range with its 1,646 metres. Its summit is home to eternal snow. At the base, you will find cirques, glacial troughs and fjords. The fjords and rivers that cross the mountains give hikers, canoeist and kayakers breathtaking scenery. To preserve all these natural beauties, they must be protected, and a park will soon be open to do so: the Kuururjuaq Park.
