Kuujjuaq, once named Fort Chimo is, along with Puvirnituq, an administrative centre. This municipality is also the most important one in Nunavik. Moreover, its two airports make it a hub for transportation in the region. The Koksoak River is important to the community, who depend on it daily. Here, the landscape transforms with the tides.
