Almost 160 kilometres northeast of Kuujjuaq is the village of Kangiqsualujjuaq and its 650 inhabitants. This municipality, also known under the name of George River, is the easternmost city of Nunavik. Here, the territory is excellent for hunting and fishing. Nearby, you can observe a herd of hoofed animals, one of the largest herds in the world. As for the George River, it is full of Arctic charr, Atlantic salmons and trout. Let's not forget the Torngat Mountains, which will soon be part of the Kuururjuaq Park. This park, which is still in development, should open in 2008.
