Despite its 630-km2 size, Aupaluk is the less populated village in Nunavik. This village of the Arctic is the first one that was created exclusively by Inuit. The relief of this village is mainly flat, which makes it favourable to hiking and wildlife observation, but especially to caribou observation. You can even take advantage of the region to hunt. The place is ideal for an impressive view on the Ungava Bay, and on marine mammals. The village owes its name to the colour of its soil rich in iron.
