Seal Lake and Lower Seal Lake

Accessible in summer

Fresh Water Fish

The Seal Lake and the Lower Seal Lake make a series of lakes dotted with a dozen inhabited islands bearing stunted conifers. These lakes are home to fish which, despite their rarity, are known for having a higher-than-normal growth rate. People explain this unusual growth rate by the other inhabitants of the lake, seals, which are their main predator. These seals are an attraction in these lakes, since it is rare, even exceptional, to see seals in fresh water year round.
